My loving husband anticipated my loneliness and called in for back up. Prior to leaving he asked my friend Megan to come and stay with me in his absence. And did she deliver. She came bearing free rentals at Blockbuster, her pajamas, and a change of work clothes. We invited Erin over and had a full fledge Girls Night In. We rented a couple movies, stocked up on sweets and started pouring the wine.

I think it’s an unspoken girls code that when one girl needs cheering up, some company, or even just to talk, all diets are off. We spooned in the comfort foods and finished it off with a sugar chaser. Mmmmmm. But it sure does feel good to giggle. Thanks chicas. I don’t know what I would do without girlfriends.

Oh and I am looking forward to the sequel tonight. We still have some Dots (…Milk Duds…Junior Mints…Swedish Fish…Reese’s Pieces…& Sour Gummies) to finish!!

Oh and don’t worry, Sim. I remembered to take out the garbage, feed the dogs, AND wife off their footsies (Every. Time. I. Take. Them. Out.), but you will be back in 34 short hours and you can have all those duties back. 🙂
