Due to technical difficulties beyond my control, my site has been down for the last couple days. During that time there were so many occasions in which I wanted to write an entry. Now that I have the opportunity to post, I am at a lost for words. So all I can do is apologize to the masses for my lack of bloggin’-love, and ask that you stay tuned for future entertainment. I promise, it’s in the works.
I’m coming out…I want the world to know!
Well, ok, maybe just my website is coming out. I just sent an email to my friends and family letting them peak into the inner working of my brain through this site. I have been trying to get most of the kinks worked out before I notified the world, but I just realized that may never happen. So here I am. Accept me and all my flaws! Oh, and don’t forget to comment. I love the comments! 🙂
My husband: Smartest Man in the World
In my daily life there are several things that I consult my husband about. He is very patient and helpful and more often than not has the perfect solution. Today I was pestering him about hotsynching a Palm. His reply was classic and blog-worthy. I will share:
“I know that it is very tricky business. If it works, all in the world is right. And if it doesnt…drink early :)”
Its my new motto in life.
Technical Issues
Just to let you all know, I am just learning about building web pages. Most of the stuff I can do is simply because my husband has the patience to teach me (and believe me that is no picnic). So if I haven’t learned something yet, talk to him. If something doesn’t work, let me know about it and hopefully he can help me correct it (once or twice I have even done it myself!). Until then, I need to quote one of my favorite bloggers:
“This site isn’t 100% valid yet. So don’t crawl up my ass. We’re working on it. Take a valium and come back when you can have tolerance for people who aren’t 300% geek. Thank you.”
A clean new look
After several test runs, I think I found a picture and color scheme I can live with for longer than a week. But who knows. This site may live to reflect the complexities of my brain…as well as the changing of the times. I tend to think of my taste as “classic” so we will just have to see how that plays out here. Check back often and see what it looks like….I could use the traffic! 🙂

My friends are coming!
I am getting very excited for this weekend because my friends are coming down. They live in BFE, so we rarely get to see them (other than on their site and sometimes we see too much of them there ….right, Lindsay?) So now I am looking forward to spending some quality time with Heather and Lindsay while Simeon and Barney spend some quality time with their laptops. Boys. Whatcha gonna do?
The Postal Service
I have to admit, I am not usually a big fan of the good ol’ USPS, but today they went ahead and out did themselves. Yesterday at work we got a letter from USPS that they will now allow us to order stamps by fax. I thought back at all the times I have stood in line, for what seemed like hours, at the post office just to take care of something that took, at most, 30 seconds. So I thought I would give them a try and order by fax. They even guaranteed that if your order was placed by 5 pm it would be there by 5 pm the next day! The NEXT day! So I faxed in my order at 4:45 pm yesterday and thought, “I wonder when my stamps will actually arrive. Probably like the cable guy…at the last minute!” And ya know what? They just got here! And its only 11:25 am. (It was even hand delivered.) That means I actual received my stamps in time to use them today! Low and behold, God must work at the post office, ’cause this is a miracle!
Ass out of you and me
I hate it when people assume things. Why, oh why, would you want to go and do something silly like that? Don’t people remember that silly little song about assuming? “When you assume, you make an ass out of you and me” Ya know, cause its ass-u-me? Brother, people get a clue.
